CIARA AND TOM - WANDSWORTH TO SMITHFIELDS
Who’s afraid of London Weddings? I used to avoid them because the logistics can be tough, but actually the unpredictability is what makes for half the fun; the tube delay that meant half the portraits happened underground, the complete stranger who bought Tom and Ciara a bottle of champagne just because.
And it’s always nice to take in the landmarks - Wandsworth Town Hall, St Paul’s, Smithfield’s Market, The Shard, Chicken Cottage
EDITORIAL NOTE: Any resemblance between the blue and orange of Tom’s suit and waistcoat and the branding colours of Chicken Cottage are purely coincidental. Honest.
Like a fantastic London road trip, things kicked off at the Brewers Arms where Ciara looked amazing in trouser suit WITH POCKETS. After tying the knot at Wandsworth Town Hall, everyone boarded a bus up to Balfour St Barts for the party, dropping me, Ciara and Tom off at The Bunch of Grapes in Borough Market, the scene of their first date. We jumped out of the taxi for a whistle stop couple of shots at St Pauls, before hitting Smithfields Market for a proper raucous party.
I haven’t laughed so hard and for so long in a good while - we literally laughed all day - so this definitely goes down as one of my favourites; a big love for two lovely young people and their friends and family who brought a massive smile to an otherwise grim grey month
